Building Scholars
for the Future, Right Now

A year-round nonprofit learning institution where the young people of tomorrow grow in critical thinking, discipline, confidence, and character.

Explore Our Programs Our Model

"Prodigious Academy equips youth to think deeply, act boldly, lead wisely, and build thriving lives and communities."

Our Mission  ·  Mikal Driver, Founder & President

"Home is the first classroom."

Rituals

Small routines that anchor learning in everyday life. 15-minute blocks. Weekly check-ins. One goal at a time.

Relationships

Learning rides on connection. Caregiver check-ins, mentorship pipelines, and respectful school-family communication.

Resources

Home learning kits, neighborhood learning maps, and accessible content that removes friction and increases capability.

Results

Measuring growth through behavior and confidence — not shame. Caregiver surveys, engagement shifts, skill practice frequency.

The home is already a learning institution.

Every home teaches something — language, problem-solving, how conflict gets handled, whether reading is normal. The question is whether we're supporting it. The Learning House Initiative equips Atlanta families with simple routines, practical tools, and community support to strengthen what's already there.

Learn More

Rigor and belief are both non-negotiable.

We are not a tutoring program or an after-school model. Prodigious Academy is a year-round institution and school of thought — combining advanced academics, debate, character formation, and productive struggle so scholars are not only prepared for the future, but trained to build it now.

Year-Round Learning

Learning doesn't stop in summer. Our model runs continuously to build lasting habits and skills.

Debate-Infused Instruction

Students learn to think critically, reason with evidence, and communicate with confidence.

Character & Academics Together

Academic growth and character development are inseparable in our design — not separate tracks.

Productive Struggle

We teach scholars that failure is information, not identity. Persistence is built, not assumed.

Student Ownership

Scholars help shape questions, define success, and make meaningful decisions in their learning.

Research & Innovation Hub

Prodigious Academy is both a learning environment and an experiential community for inquiry.

We are developing scholars who build.

Our scholars don't just pass tests. They lead with self-belief, think with discipline, and use failure as fuel. Every program, every interaction, every routine is designed around one question: what does this young person need to own their future?

Thinks Critically

Reasons with evidence, questions assumptions, and solves real problems.

Communicates with Confidence

Speaks clearly in any room — in writing and in debate — with earned authority.

Uses Failure as Fuel

Treats setbacks as information. Reflects, redirects, and rises.

Leads with Self-Belief

Walks into the world knowing their value, their voice, and their purpose.

Builds for Community

Understands that personal excellence and community responsibility are one.

A cradle-to-career ecosystem

Every ring is distinct, but together they create one coherent pipeline of growth — from early childhood through professional leadership.

1 Ring 1

Prodigious Pre-K & Elementary

Early Childhood – Grade 4

Early identity, language, wonder, and foundational academic confidence. Scholars enter upper grades seeing themselves as thinkers and creators.

2 Ring 2

Middle Academy & Online Village

Grades 5 – 8

The engine room of formation. Debate, blended learning, student data talks, and leadership routines. The Foundation → Establishment → Agency → Blueprint.

3 Ring 3

Prodigious Manifest & Performance

Grades 9 – 12

From identity formation into disciplined performance. Capstones, internships, portfolio defense, and public exhibitions. Establishing a Champion Culture.

4 Ring 4

Gap-Year Institute

Post-Secondary Transition

A supported transition year for young adults who need preparation, recalibration, or launch support before higher education or entrepreneurship.

5 Ring 5 & 6

Adult Learning & Educator Pipeline

Caregivers & Educators

The Prodigious Professionals and 200 Educators Initiative develops teachers, mentors, and emerging leaders who sustain the culture across generations.

7 Ring 7

Community Mastermind Cohort

Partners & Community

The networked backbone connecting partners, thought leaders, alumni, and supporters around strategy, innovation, and shared accountability.

The skills framework that drives the design

These are not side skills. They are baked into the architecture of every program, every lesson, every interaction at Prodigious Academy.
